We are hosting our Coventry educational conference on “Tackling Domestic Violence & Abuse In Faith Communities” as part of this year’s Interfaith Week in the city. We are also hosting a Faith Leader’s Ceremony affiliated to this conference which is exclusive to multi-faith leaders.

Date: Thursday, 20th of November 2014

Time: 9.30am to 4.00pm. Registration at 9.00am.

Venue:  The Hope Centre, Sparkbrook Street, Coventry, CV1 5LB. It is 5 minutes walk from Coventry city center, and 10 minutes walk from Coventry rail station. Entrance is on Vauxhall Street. There is limited free parking on Sparkbrook Street. Pay & Display parking is at the end of Paynes Lane, & also on Lower Ford Street.

Speakers: Representing multi-faith communities, professionals, third sector organisations, academics and politicians, our speakers will give multi-dimensional perspectives on the occurrence of DVA in faith communities.  There will be in depth insight on the needs of adult and child victims in faith communities; and a bold emphasis on how to facilitate radical work with perpetrators of DVA, given that they are the key agents of DVA.
