With the theme “Foundations For The Future”, this educational conference will use in depth research and experiences shared by survivors to examine aspects of DVA known to exist in faith communities. Our aim is to equip, educate, and empower delegates to effectively tackle all forms of Domestic Violence and Abuse (DVA) in faith communities, most importantly to give refreshing hope for freedom, healing & restoration to adult & child survivors.

Speakers: Representing multi-faith communities, professionals, academics and politicians, our speakers will give multi-dimensional perspectives on the existence of DVA in faith communities. There will be in depth insight on the needs of adult and child victims; and a bold emphasis on how to facilitate radical work with perpetrators of DVA, given that they are the key agents of DVA.
In addition, a plenary discussion with the delegates will be facilitated by the panel of guest multi-faith leaders with the aim of forging the working plan for combating DVA in faith communities, that can be effective in this generation, also laying a foundation for the future.
Open to national delegates, the event is ideal for multi-faith leaders, members of multi-faith communities, survivors of DVA, politicians, and multi-disciplinary professionals who work with survivors or perpetrators.
