We strongly encourage you to plan to attend the full conference for maximum benefit. The conference is open to national delegates.

Speakers: Representing multi-faith communities, professionals, third sector organisations, academics and politicians, our speakers will give multi-dimensional perspectives on the occurrence of DVA in faith communities.  There will be in depth insight on the needs of adult and child victims in faith communities; and a bold emphasis on how to facilitate radical work with perpetrators of DVA, given that they are the key agents of DVA.

Speakers include: Ron Ball, Warwickshire Police & Crime Commissioner; Alison Byrne, Specialist Midwife for Female Genital Mutilation, Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust, Imam Abdullah Hasan, Co-Founder of Imams Against Domestic Violence; Kudakwashe Nyakudya, Founder Director of Kahrmel Wellness; and Dr Ravi Thiara, Co-Director & Principal Research Fellow, University Of Warwick.  Full list of speakers …

Using in depth research and experiences shared by survivors, conference topics will examine some aspects of DVA we have come across in faith communities. These include – The impact of DVA on children & adolescents; The needs of migrant victims; Female Genital Mutilation; The behavioural patterns of perpetrators; Forced Marriage; The multi-dimensional impact of DVA; DVA trial, sentencing & probation; and Finding complete healing & restoration.
